I gained this knowledge by owning and operating a Car Dealership (Streamline Automotive) in Crestwood, Kentucky that sold over 2500 cars in the last 5 years. I did this completely over the Internet, from a gravel lot, in a horrible location, while achieving an 80% monthly inventory turn.
Notice the picture on the left has a list of Dealerships. My Dealership Streamline Automotive was the #1 Buyer in 2007 at Adesa Lexington.
That means I bought and sold more cars than any other dealer that attended that auction. This list also shows that I bought more cars than five large Toyota Franchises, a Honda Franchise and a Mitsubishi Franchise.
Trust me, I did not collect one of these cars. I sold every single one of them over the Internet.
One thing I have learned over the last 5 years is all Car Dealerships have one thing in common, no matter how small or how large their dealerships, they all want to sell more cars.
